Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 19 October 2026

1. Purpose

These terms govern the use of The Method Files and purchases of digital content and access made directly on themethodfiles.com through WooCommerce.

The Method Files sells two distinct types of digital product: downloadable digital publications, such as grimoires and e-books in PDF format, and digital access linked to an account, such as THE METHOD FILES · ACADEMY.

The specific conditions stated in each product's listing or purchase interface form part of the contractual information applicable to that product.

2. Owner and contact details

Trading name: The Method Files
Support email: info@themethodfiles.com
Website: https://themethodfiles.com/

The owner's identification and contact details are provided in the Legal Notice.

3. What is sold

3.1. Downloadable digital publications

Grimoires, e-books and digital editions identified as downloadable are supplied as PDF files unless expressly stated otherwise. They do not include a physical copy.

Each listing states the title, format, length where applicable, price and main features of the edition.

3.2. Courses and study spaces

Each course is purchased separately and linked to the buyer's account. Purchasing OUIJA does not grant access to Esoteric BDSM, or vice versa. The same account can hold the courses it has purchased.

  • OUIJA Academy: thirteen units. Units 1 and 2 are free; purchasing the full course unlocks units 3 to 13 and their included materials: the learner's manual in PDF, a printable workbook with 60 forms and an editable Word workbook.
  • Esoteric BDSM Academy: eight units and 29 lessons. Unit 1 is free; purchasing the full course unlocks units 2 to 8, the study notebook, the course sources and files, and the eight units in PDF and Word. Its scope is Phase 0: reading, analysis and writing; it does not include supervised physical practice or individual marking.

The Method: 28 lessons with cases, activities, commentaries and a final project, their 28 PDFs, the Shared Toolkit, four interactive examples and private notes with the ability to resume reading in your account. The first three lessons, their PDFs, the Shared Toolkit and the example ‘Transforming a grille into a motif’ are free. Lessons 4 to 28 and their PDFs, the other three examples and the account notebook require a separate purchase of The Method.

The Method is offered for a one-off payment of €99, including taxes for Spain and without a subscription; the applicable amount is confirmed before the order is placed. It is a self-study course, without tutoring or individual marking, an official qualification or any guarantee of supernatural results. Access has no scheduled expiry for the purchased edition while the service remains available; downloaded PDFs may be retained for personal use. It does not include OUIJA, Esoteric BDSM or Studies.

The courses are intended for people aged 18 and over. Free access remains subject to the age requirements stated in each section. The price and included materials are shown in the course overview and confirmed before the order is placed.

Studies: a programme of 24 lessons, six of them free, four study resources and The Archive, with 20 complete articles available free of charge. The Foundation Path, subject areas and full access are distinct options: each purchase unlocks only the reading path and materials stated in its Studies access offer. It does not include OUIJA, Esoteric BDSM or The Method.

4. Free content and open access

The public overviews explain each section's approach. In OUIJA, units 1 and 2 are free; in Esoteric BDSM, Unit 1 is free. The Method offers its first three lessons, and Studies offers six lessons and the 20 articles in The Archive without purchase. Open access does not grant permission to access paid units or the other course's complete downloads.

5. Purchase process

Purchases are made directly from The Method Files through WooCommerce. The user proceeds from the ACADEMY's editorial pages to checkout, reviews the order, provides the necessary details, accepts the applicable conditions and consents, and completes payment using the available methods.

Downloadable products may be purchased through guest checkout where the shop permits it.

ACADEMY products require a user account because each access entitlement must be linked to an identifiable account. The shop may allow that account to be created during checkout.

An order is considered successfully placed when WooCommerce and, where applicable, the payment provider confirm the transaction.

6. Payments through WooPayments

The Method Files uses WooPayments to process payments. WooPayments uses payment infrastructure associated with Stripe.

The Method Files does not store the buyer's full card details on its server.

The available methods may vary by country, currency, device and provider availability.

7. Price and taxes

The applicable price is the one shown in the purchase interface and confirmed at checkout before the order is placed.

Prices are displayed and taxes calculated according to the tax configuration applicable to the product type and the buyer's relevant location.

Downloadable grimoires and ACADEMY access may receive different tax treatment because of their different nature.

A completed transaction will not be changed retrospectively because of subsequent price changes.

8. Delivery and digital supply

8.1. Downloadable products

Once payment is confirmed, WooCommerce grants access to the downloadable file associated with the purchased product.

The link may appear on the order received screen, by email and, where applicable, in the account's downloads area.

8.2. Academy courses

Once payment is confirmed, the purchased access is linked to the relevant account. The learner can enter their study space and download the included documents from the units or the course's downloads section. Full access and downloads require the corresponding purchase.

Current courses are offered for a one-off payment, without a subscription or a scheduled expiry date for the purchased access. Corrections and revisions to their content are incorporated into the same course; they do not automatically include other sections or future products.

Reading progress and activity completion are separate personal records and do not, in themselves, constitute an assessment or accreditation of learning.

9. Separate purchases and previous conditions

The current offer does not include a combined pass or automatic credit towards purchasing other courses. Each order states the course and price being contracted for.

If a previous purchase expressly included a credit, an extension of access or another right, it will be retained under the conditions accepted for that order. This update does not reduce acquired rights or alter previous orders.

10. Right of withdrawal and immediate commencement of digital supply

As a general rule, consumers have 14 calendar days from the conclusion of the contract to withdraw, subject to statutory exceptions. We do not offer a satisfaction guarantee or voluntary refunds for a change of mind once the digital content has been correctly supplied and the consent and confirmation requirements set out below have been met.

Where The Method Files intends to begin supplying paid digital content immediately during the withdrawal period, checkout separately requests prior consent to begin supply and acknowledgement that beginning supply entails the loss of the right of withdrawal when the legal requirements are met.

The contract and those consents are subsequently confirmed on a durable medium in accordance with applicable legislation.

General acceptance of these terms does not, by itself, replace those specific consents.

Where the legal requirements have not been validly fulfilled, The Method Files will not automatically treat a continuing right of withdrawal as extinguished.

The loss of the right of withdrawal for digital content does not remove rights arising from a failure to supply or a lack of conformity. Elements that are legally classified as digital services retain their specific legal regime; downloading a PDF does not, by itself, extinguish the rights relating to those services.

The Digital Content and Refund Policy explains the conditions, the issues covered and how to give notice of withdrawal where that right still applies.

11. Issues and lack of conformity

An issue with a downloadable product may arise, among other cases, where the file delivered is corrupt, incomplete, cannot be opened or does not materially correspond to the product purchased.

An issue with ACADEMY may arise where a valid payment does not activate the corresponding entitlement, where the buyer cannot use the purchased modules for a reason attributable to the service, or where the content supplied does not materially correspond to what was advertised.

The buyer can report the issue to info@themethodfiles.com.

Nothing in these terms removes mandatory rights to conformity, to have content brought into conformity, to a price reduction, termination, a refund or other remedies available under applicable legislation.

12. Licence and personal use

Purchasing a downloadable publication grants a personal, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to read and retain the file for your own use.

Purchasing ACADEMY grants a personal right to access the included content through the relevant account.

The purchase does not transfer intellectual property rights in the works, modules or materials.

Without express authorisation, it is not permitted to redistribute files, reproduce or publish substantial portions of paid modules, resell content, systematically share restricted-access materials or provide third parties with account credentials in order to circumvent access conditions.

13. Scope of each course

Access is limited to the course and materials expressly included in the purchased offer. Having an account or purchasing one section does not unlock the others. New sections, courses or products will be introduced under their own conditions, without retrospectively changing rights from previous purchases.

14. Editions, corrections and updates

The Method Files may correct typographical errors, documentary errors, links or technical problems.

For downloadable publications, a correction may take the form of replacing the file with a corrected version.

For ACADEMY, corrections and revisions to modules included in the purchased product are incorporated into access for as long as they remain those same modules.

A correction or revision of an existing product should not be confused with a new commercial edition, a new module, a new subject area, a new reading path or a future version of ACADEMY.

15. Sources, interpretation and contemporary practice

The Method Files content may bring together historical documentation, editorial interpretation and contemporary practices.

Where appropriate, these layers are expressly distinguished.

The Method Files does not guarantee supernatural, financial, romantic, professional, medical or other outcomes arising from ritual or interpretative practice.

16. Responsible use

The content does not replace medical, psychological, legal, financial or professional advice.

No part of a work or module should be interpreted as permission to break the law, harm third parties or endanger your own or anyone else's safety.

17. Intellectual property

The original texts, editorial designs, original illustrations, compositions, modules, educational structures, logos and other original elements of The Method Files are protected by applicable legislation.

Using historical sources, traditional names, public-domain symbols or attributed materials does not imply a claim to exclusive rights over anything that legally belongs to the public domain or to third parties.

18. Accounts and security

Personal ACADEMY access is linked to a user account.

Users are responsible for keeping their credentials confidential and reporting any unauthorised access of which they become aware.

The account must not be used to systematically provide third parties with access to paid content.

The site may experience temporary interruptions due to maintenance, updates or technical incidents. These interruptions do not remove any rights that may apply by law where they affect the conformity or availability of the purchased content.

19. Customer support

For purchases, downloads, access or issues: info@themethodfiles.com.

You can also use the Contact and support page.

20. Applicable law

These terms will be interpreted in accordance with Spanish law, without prejudice to mandatory protection rules that may apply to consumers in other territories.

Nothing in these conditions requires a consumer to waive rights or jurisdictional protections to which they are legally entitled.

21. Voluntary donations towards free resources

From 19 October 2026, Support TMF allows one-off, voluntary contributions to the owner of The Method Files, identified in the Legal Notice, to prepare and maintain its free educational resources. This includes the time spent researching, writing and reviewing them and the resources needed to publish them.

These contributions are identified as ‘Voluntary donation to TMF’. They do not purchase a product or commission a service: they do not grant courses, exclusive downloads, discounts, editorial influence or personalised commissions. No publication or date is guaranteed in return for donating. The free content remains accessible without contributing.

Choose one of the available amounts and review the contribution, currency and total before confirming. This is a one-off payment, with no subscription or recurring charges. Donations are processed separately from purchases through WooCommerce and WooPayments; the transaction is recorded with its reference and confirmed according to the payment outcome.

The sections relating to price, delivery, licence, course access and the start of digital content supply concern purchases and do not turn this donation into a purchase. Donating does not mean agreeing to the start of digital supply or waiving rights on that basis.

No certificate of a tax-deductible donation is offered, and no tax deduction is advertised through this route. The description of the transaction does not replace any obligations that apply by law.

If you notice a duplicate charge, an incorrect amount or an unrecognised transaction, write to info@themethodfiles.com with the transaction reference, without sending full card details. We will review the issue and arrange the appropriate correction or refund. None of these conditions excludes applicable mandatory rights.

22. Changes

The Method Files may update these terms due to legal, technical or commercial changes.

The current version will be the one published on this page with its update date.

Subsequent changes will not retrospectively alter the essential conditions of a purchase already concluded, except where necessary to comply with a legal obligation or where applicable legislation provides otherwise.
